Wokingham Mental Health Mates is a walking group set up to help improve mental health.
Mental health mates is an organisation started by the writer Bryony Gordon, it was created to bring people together who may have mental health problems or feel isolated. The idea of the walks is that fresh air and gentle exercise can make a huge difference to how you feel but also sharing your thoughts and meeting new people.
Mental Health Mates has over 150 walks across the UK helping people to get out and get connected without fear of judgement.
Every month a walk will be organised in and around Wokingham where anyone is able to join, pets are also welcome! After the walks anyone who joined will have the opportunity to have a coffee or something to eat with the other walkers and continue their chats, or alternatively go home after the walk if this is not something you would like to participate in.
