Eldridge Park
Eldridge Park is a large open space without too many trees, so it has some lovely uninterrupted golden meadow views, especially at sunset.
2.4km footpath winds its way in a figure of eight (a few times!) around three fields. There are a few options to shorten the route if little ones get too tired. Ideal for walking, balance bikes and small bikes if you mind the walkers!
The wildflower meadows surround all sides of the path, comprising mainly grasses and thistle, but are scattered with oxe-eye daisies, buttercups and cowslip along the way during the summer months.
As you walk around the park, you'll discover a few balance play boards, as well as willow tree tunnels and stepping stones.
View the pond wildlife and stunning reedbeds from the viewing platforms (hold onto the kids!).
There is limited public parking on the Eldridge Estate. We suggest you park for free at Cantley Park (Twyford Rd, Wokingham RG40 5TU) and walk the short way up Twyford Road to the Estate. You can also extend your walk or bike ride by looping around Cantley Park first.
