The fab Bombay Story are hosting a street party for all of Wokingham to enjoy! On Sunday 7th May Bombay Story will be taking over part of Peach Place to celebrate the Kings Coronation.

Wokingham Town Council have teamed up with the amazing Barkham Hookers Charity Group and First Days Children's Charity to create a fabulous POST BOX TOPPER TRAIL for the coronation
If you loved discovering the 'hookers' crochet creations during those lock down months and for the Platimum Jubilee, then this is the event for your! A map has been created to help you go 'topper spotting' this May!
All of the toppers should be in place by May 1st
You can collect a printed copy of the map from Wokingham Town Hall on Mondays/Wednesdays and Fridays between 10-2pm or download your copy here.

Coronation Party in the Park

Coronation Party in the Park at Morgan's Rec will be kicking off with the live outdoor cinema coverage of the coronation build up and procession from 10am on 6 May at The Morgan Recreation Ground. There will also be a community picnic, live music, competitions, food and craft stalls and beer tent.
The event and entertainment is free to attend but bring some pennies for the additional activities! Pack your picnic, camping chair/picnic rug, crown, dancing shoes, singing voice AND umbrella/sunshade. For more information click here.

A Celebration fit for a King
The Lexicon and Bracknell Forest Council have teamed up to host a number of activities in the town centre to mark the historic occasion of The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. The Coronation Celebrations, taking place on Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7 2023, aim to bring the community together for a weekend of fun, entertainment and community spirit.
To start the celebratory weekend, on Saturday, visitors are invited to Bond Square to watch the Coronation ceremony on a live screen from 11am, followed by an afternoon of live music and dance until 7pm.
There will be free face painting, opportunity to enjoy a glass of pimms or if you prefer strawberries and cream and throughout the day, visitors will be entertained by a fabulous line-up of performers, hosted by local musical impresario Richard Whennell - to see the full event programme click here.
The celebrations continue Sunday 7 May in Princess Square where shoppers can join a Tea Dance led by KL Dance Steps between 11am and 12.00 noon and again from 2 pm until 3 pm. Spectators and participants alike can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee provided by Starbucks and a delicious free Coronation Crown biscuit.
