Family Friendly Cafes in Wokingham
We are very lucky to have some great independent Cafés in Wokingham. 2020 was a tough year for us all especially for our local hospitality trade. Many of our local Cafés have still been able to remain open for take-aways so we can continue to enjoy their delicious treats and warm brews until we are allowed to eat inside. Please check opening times before visiting as they maybe subject to change at short notice.
Aroma
Located in Denmark Street, Aroma is a small family run coffee and sandwich shop. They sell delicious handmade baguettes, sandwiches and paninis as well as homemade cakes and sweet treats.
They are open 8.30am-3pm, Monday-Friday, and 10am-2pm on Saturday.

Blue Orchid Bakery
Blue Orchid Bakery is a small, independent, café in Peach Place, Wokingham. Blue Orchid are renowned for their incredible cakes, afternoon teas and sweet treats. Blue Orchid also make incredible bespoke cakes for any special celebration you may have.
They are open 8am-2pm 7 days a week. They offer a local delivery service which proved very popular during lockdown.

Brown Bag
Brown Bag is located in Alexandra Court in the centre of Wokingham. Famous for their epic hot chocolates, delicious cakes and scrummy sandwiches, always served with a friendly smile. Each sandwich is made by hand in their kitchen fresh each morning. This is Wokingham Rocks café of choice in town!
There is inside and outside seating available, with high chairs available for little ones.
They are open Monday Friday -7am-5pm and 8am-5pm Saturday, 9am-5pm Sundays.

The Farm Café
The Farm Café is very popular with Wokingham families. Based at the fantastic Ashridge Garden Centre, the award winning Farm Café has been part of the bustling community of Wokingham for over 12 years. Delicious food, always accompanies with outstanding service, this Café is definitely one to visit.
They also offer themed children’s afternoon teas which are ideal to take away in party boxes.
The Farm Café is currently closed due to current restrictions but is re-opening in March 2021.

Joy Café
Joy is the happiest little café in town! Located in Montague House on Broad Street, JOY Café is all about TASTE, all NATURAL and happy a LIFE. They have oodles of coffee choices as well as delicious sweet Crêpes or savoury Galettes to satisfy your cravings! The shop is cosy but we love popping by as a family to get a take away to enjoy at home.
Open 10am-4pm Monday to Friday and 10am-5pm on Saturdays.

FBC Café
The FBC Centre is in the heart of Finchampstead. It's a great place to relax with a coffee and one of their delicious cakes. Ample space for buggies and high chairs, this Café is one of our favourites. They have opened a click and collect service so you can now enjoy their food from the comfort of your own home.

The Chocolate Café
Located at Holme Grange Craft Village this brilliant café is ideal for families. They have an extensive menu of warm and cold food as well as sweet treats for after. Their childrens menu is brilliant value and they have plenty of space for pushchairs.
This café is open 8am-5pm 6 days a week.

The Foxes Den Community Café Binfield
Our favourite out of town café, just around the corner in Binfield. Wokingham Rocks can often be found here on a Friday after school enjoying their delicious cakes and hot chocolate! They have a childrens play corner inside as well as being next to the binfield playground to burn off energy afterwards! While you’re here be sure to visit the community Mindfulness garden and the local Spoonville Family, new decorated spoons are always a welcome addition to the family!
